Darren is an experienced trainer, who has trained all types of clientele throughout his career, from all over the spectrum, ranging from the elderly to the youth, from office workers to sporting champions, from business moguls to students.
Darren specialises in improving, or completely altering body composition (lowering body fat, and increasing muscle mass), general fat loss, muscle gaining/hypertrophy, gaining strength and power, improving stamina and endurance, and as he states;

Like everyone I always wanted to be in better shape, I would tell myself the same lie, "I'll get in shape by next summer" and summer would come around; and I would look the same. I tried a few gyms, and a few trainers - but nothing substantive ever came of it. Then I met Darren.
From the first moment I met him, I could tell he was a different sort of trainer. We worked out my goals, and he knew exactly how he could get me there. He told me that it would take a while to see any results, and told me that's the reason most people give up at the beginning, but that if I trusted him it would pay off.
Friends and family commented on my change in physique. Having committed to Darren's method, I saw unbelievable results. I think the keys to Darren's success are his understanding of how each exercise works, and the manner in which he explains it to you. It changes the way you think about your body. The first ever session we had, we trained legs, I was fairly active and thought I would acquit myself well. It took me half an hour to make the five minute walk home, but I felt amazing.
In the year I trained with Darren, he sculpted my body in a precise, practical and performance driven way. I went from struggling to bench press 20kg, to benching 80kg easily for 12 repetitions consistently, and then eventually bench pressing 100kg for a few reps consistently. The continual evolution of our training regime kept me engaged and focused. I would wake up in the morning before a workout, and whereas with a normal trainer I would feel dread, but with Darren I would feel nothing but anticipation. Excitement over hitting a new personal best on an exercise/lift, over engaging with Darren in his own unique form of banter in between sets, and over the fact that once I was done, I would feel as if I could do anything.
Darren gave me three things. He gave me the tools to make rapid and lasting progress in the gym. He changed the way I thought about health, giving me clear nutrition goals. And most importantly he gave me confidence in myself. The person I was leaving school, and the person I was entering university after a year off, was completely different. I was stronger, I was fitter, I was more attractive, and I was more confident. Darren took me under his wing, and I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me. I cannot urge you enough to train with him, and to listen to him.
His drive to succeed, his knowledge and his personality made him not only the best trainer I have ever come across, but also a mentor and a loyal friend.
